What is Fascism?
Fascism is an ideology that pits itself against the whole of the working class. It is an ideology that invaribly points to the decline of the nation and tends to scapegoat racial and religious minorities for the problems caused by capitalism. From its origins in 1920’s Italy as a response to the growing power of the workers movements up till the present day fascism has been and is an ideology and practice that works against the working class of all races and nationalities. From Mussolini’s fascists to Hitler’s National Socialists, Franco in Spain and Pinochet in Chile all fascist and Nazi organisations that have come to power have violently destroyed progressive working class movements and persecuted those who fought for freedom and equality. These attacks against working class movements have been carried out in the interests of defending the wealth and privelege of the powerful in society and maintaining existing social and economic inequalities. While fascist political parties like the BNP paint themselves as a radical alternative to the usual bureaucrats they are little more than apologists for the system we live under, with it’s inequality, privelege and class divisions. They are the guard dogs of the wealthy and the staunchest supporters of the status quo.
